Excerpts from SlumpedOver.com

I briefly wrote for the website SlumpedOver.com last year, a website with the aim to provide “interesting, edgy, and short articles”–think Cracked.com, but smaller.  And while I agreed not to repost what I wrote for them in other places on the internet, I wanted to include my two favorites on this portfolio, so below are the links.

The first is a satirical review of the popular social media site, Tumblr:

Tumblr: The Death of Your Social Life

The second is a reflection on Hurricane Sandy and way it was treated on social media:

Hurricane Sandy: Serious Disaster or Internet Joke?

And yes, I realize that I clearly have a thing for using colons in article titles.

My Page on DePaul Underground

This is a link to my page on DePaul Underground, the blog for DePaul’s Undergraduate English Program.  The only piece posted right now is a satirical piece I wrote, entitled “How To Deal With Your Favorite Television Show Getting Canceled.”  I wanted to use it here, but it’s probably not a good idea to repost my work, so here’s a link (it’s another WordPress). Enjoy!
